Despite its small size, the Greek electronica scene is growing rapidly and has given to the world plenty of noticeable artists during the last years. One representative of this productive generation of young artists is producer and DJ Sergio T.

 

Sergio T (Sergios Tanidis) was born and raised in the town of Katerini. His interest in music became clear during his childhood. Initially he occupied himself with guitar lessons, but in the end electronic music and its endless possibilities appealed more to him. Thus, he started experimenting with the necessary equipment. By the age of 15 he had already composed his first single.

 

Music Production/Discography

 

Sergio T rechead his first professional milestone at the age of 18, when the up-and-coming dance/pop record company My Group offered him his first contract. In the summer of 2014 he released his first single, Don’t Go. DJ Spy and Dim Gerrard collaborated with Sergio T for this track, as co-producer and vocalist respectively. Dim Gerrard has provided vocals for almost all the track of Sergio T until now. The summer and uplifting mood of the song boosted its popularity and attracted the interest of big radios and clubs in Greece.

 

One year later, in 2015, the same trio of artists released Fighting 4 Love. The recipe for success used on Don’t Go was also used on this track, providing even more recognition to Sergio T.

 

On the same year one of the two biggest success stories of Sergio T —until now— took place with the release of Secret (feat. DUBFAZE). The song was released by the independent record company Planetworks.

 

The oriental theme of the song increased the fame of Sergio T abroad and specifically in Turkey. Until now the official video has had more than one million views on YouTube and the track scores high at the official Shazam rankings (No. 33 in Greece and No. 28 in Turkey). At the same time, it has constantly been on the playlists of Greek and Turkish radios.

 

In early 2016 Sergio T released Trick Me (Warner Music). A few months later, his second big hit followed: remix the remix of Other People, LP’s famous track (US). This is one of the tracks in which he takes much pride. Although the track is a remix, a large part of it was originally composed by himself. Very soon the radios of Greece and —for the first time— Europe showed their support.

 

Finally, in mid-2017 he released Never Give Up (Panik Records). A few months later, in March 2018, he released a of Matina’s Kiss And Tell (Panik Records) and during the summer of the same year Domino (Panik Records) remix of Matina’s Kiss And Tell (Panik Records) and during the summer of the same year Domino (Panik Records).

 

DJing

 

Along with music production T, Sergio T is also a DJ. His long live sets stand out for their energy and sound variety. In the past he claimed that Djing is a challenge for him, since he tries to guess the mood of his audience and incorporate it in his mixes without losing his personality.

 

Until now he has collaborated with bars and clubs in cities like Athens, Thessaloniki, Rhodes, Serres and Katerini. He has also appeared at some of the most bombastic festivals of Greece, including River Party in Kastoria and Colour Day Festival in Athens.

 

Finally, since 2017 he chooses songs for the dance playlist of Mad Radio (Athens) , and handles Fridays’ and Saturdays’ night zone of Plus Radio 102.6 (Thessaloniki).
